1. Official Campaign Representation
This website is the official website of Scott Crone’s campaign for the office of Mayor of the Town of East Gwillimbury in the 2026 municipal election, governed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. All content, branding, candidate photography, and campaign materials on this site are the property of the Campaign and may not be copied, reproduced, or used to create the impression of official endorsement or affiliation by any other individual, third party advertiser, or organization without our express written consent.
2. Donation Eligibility
If you make a donation through our Donate page, you confirm and agree that:
- You are an individual ordinarily resident in Ontario (contributions from corporations and trade unions are prohibited under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and cannot be accepted);
- The funds you are contributing are your own, and you are not making the contribution on behalf of, or reimbursed by, another person or entity;
- Your contribution complies with the contribution limits set out in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, as communicated by the Campaign or the Town Clerk;
- You understand that, once filed with the Town Clerk, information about your contribution may become part of the public record as required by the Act.
The Campaign reserves the right to decline or return any contribution it reasonably believes does not meet these requirements.
3. No Unauthorized Data Collection or Commercial Use
You may not use any automated system, bot, scraper, or other means to harvest, extract, or copy data, text, images, or volunteer-submitted content from this website for commercial purposes, unauthorized political use, or any purpose other than your own personal, non-commercial viewing of the site.
4. User-Submitted Content and Conduct
If you submit information through our Volunteer form, contact form, or any other input on this site, you agree not to submit content that is false, defamatory, abusive, harassing, or unlawful. The Campaign reserves the right, but is not obligated, to review, remove, or decline to act on any submission that violates this standard.
5. Third-Party Services and Limitation of Liability
This site relies on third-party services, including Stripe (donation processing), Google Forms (volunteer sign-ups), Google Analytics/Tag Manager, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. While we take reasonable care in selecting these providers, the Campaign is not responsible for outages, errors, delays, or data loss caused by a third-party service, for example, if a payment fails to process correctly, a donation is not recorded due to a Stripe outage, or a volunteer submission is not received due to a technical failure with Google Forms. If you believe a donation or submission did not go through correctly, please contact us so we can look into it.
6. No Warranty
This website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
